L-R: Hannah, Mark, Matt and Dom 2022 in Oakland
Our History
The Oakland A’s UK group started out in 2017. Three UK-based A’s fans – Dom, Hannah and Matt – had been tweeting to each other during A’s games for many years and finally decided that the A’s deserved a Twitter account for UK fans. So we started one!
However, you can’t just have a Twitter account, can you? So, next came a Facebook group, an Instagram account, a YouTube channel and a podcast. And, of course, this blog.
We’re an unofficial fans group that has grown into a great community over the past few years, bringing together A’s fans from across the UK, Ireland and many other countries too.
We’re pretty adept at roping in other people to join the A’s cause too! Our pal Mark has now joined up and has taking on the running of the Facebook group.
We’re extremely fortunate that plenty of A’s fans in Oakland love the fact that a bunch of us from the UK stay up all hours following their team from across the pond. We’ve also made friends with A’s fans who live throughout the States, not least Jay and the rest at the New York A’s group.
This blog is designed to be a writing forum where we can provide game reviews and comment on the latest A’s news, whilst also bringing together content from our other social media channels.
If you would like to get in contact with us, just use the Contact Us form and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
