UK Schedule

A’s Schedule This Week: 21st June

1st trip to Globe Life Field, then the Bay Bridge Series

Last week ended in painful fashion, dropping the final two games of the series in New York against the Yankees; however, we took the opener in that series to make it seven wins in a row, so we can’t complain too much.

Two tough losses aside, the A’s are playing well right now and we need them to get back on the winning trail as the road trip continues.

Texas Rangers (A)

Season series so far: Yet to play

This was always going to be another rebuilding year for Texas, but things have really been going downhill of late. Chris Woodward’s team has lost 8 of their last 10 games and 17 of their last 20 coming into this series, which will be the A’s first trip to the new Globe Life Field. The scheduled starting pitcher match-ups are as follows:

Gm1. Frankie Montas – Kyle Gibson
Gm2. Cole Irvin – Jordan Lyles
Gm3. James Kaprielian – Mike Foltynewicz
Gm4. Chris Bassitt – Kolby Allard.

As per usual, the final game of the series is a day-game. That’s a 19.05 UK time start on Thursday and the game will be broadcast live on the BT Sport/ESPN channel.

San Francisco Giants (A)

Season series so far: Yet to play

And then we come on to Part One of the Bay Bridge Series. There’s no getting away from it, the Giants have been the surprise package of the first half of the season. In an NL West that was supposed to be a power struggle between the Dodgers and Padres, the Giants have stolen a march on both of them.

If it’s about time for the Giants’ bubble to burst then who better to stick a pin in it than our A’s?!

The scheduled starting pitcher match-ups are as follows:

Gm1. Sean Manaea – Johnny Cueto
Gm2. Frankie Montas – Alex Wood
Gm3. Cole Irvin – Sammy Long.
