Game 9: Laureano lifts A’s above .500

The A’s could only muster 5 hits yet again, but Ramon Laureano made sure one really counted.

Our Sunday Zoom watch-along made for a great way to watch an A’s victory, with some familiar faces and some very welcome newcomers joining the fray.

Chris Bassitt pitched well again and surely has done enough so far to cement his position in the rotation for now.

As for Ramon, his three-run bomb was all the run-scoring we had, but thankfully it was all the run-scoring we needed. The win puts the A’s on a 5-4 win-loss record heading into the series finale in Seattle tonight.

It’s a night-game to finish, with first pitch being 2.10am for us in the UK. Frankie Montas will be on the mound for the A’s.
